On January 7, 2023, at approximately 8:57 PM, officers from the Montville Township Police Department responded to a report of a disabled 2016 Volkswagen Jetta on Main Street near Santander Bank. What started as a welfare check quickly turned into a full DUI investigation when police encountered Kelly Terranova, who showed clear signs of impairment. In this full bodycam video, viewers will witness the entire police interaction — from the initial contact, through the field sobriety tests, and ultimately to her arrest. Officers observed the odor of alcohol, a damaged tire, hesitation in producing documents, and multiple indicators of intoxication. After failing the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test, the Walk and Turn, and the One Leg Stand, Kelly was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. She was later transported to Lincoln Park Police Department, where she submitted to a breathalyzer (Alcotest), revealing a staggering BAC of 0.24% or three times the legal limit. But this wasn’t Kelly’s first run-in with the law. In fact, this was her fifth documented DWI/DUI arrest, with prior charges in Hanover Township, Mansfield Township, Rockaway Township, and earlier incidents dating back to 2010.
