It really helps us do original reporting like this. 🔍 Episode Overview: On December 17, 2024, at about 11:34 PM, Officer James Koretsky from the Solon Police Department spotted a 2016 Ford Escape drifting down the wrong side of the road near S.O.M. Center Road and Solon Road. He flipped on his lights and pulled the car over on Solon Road. Once it stopped, he stepped out and approached the driver—a 25-year-old woman named Tionna Cisco. While talking to her, Koretsky noticed signs she might be drunk. Tionna said she'd been bowling that night to celebrate her birthday. She confessed to drinking before getting behind the wheel. To check her state, he asked her to do a finger test, count backward, and say part of the alphabet. She couldn't get any of them right. Soon, Officer Christopher Schiavoni showed up to help. He had Tionna step out and try more sobriety tests. First came the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus check. Schiavoni saw her eyes jerk without smooth tracking, strong shakes at the edge, shakes starting too soon before 45 degrees, and up-and-down jerks in both eyes. Next was the Walk and Turn. She messed it up—feet not heel-to-toe, bad turn, and she quit before reaching the start. Last, the One Leg Stand. Tionna didn't lift her foot right and dropped it too early. Her wild driving, booze admission, and failed tests led to her arrest for OVI. After cuffs went on, she said she knew she'd screwed up. Schiavoni put her in the patrol car and drove her to the station. There, they read her the BMV 2255 form. She agreed to a breath test. It showed 0.188% BAC—over twice the 0.08% limit. She admitted coming from Rollhouse Bowling Alley after downing vodka. Processing done, she got tickets for OVI under 4511.19(A)(1)(a), OVI under 4511.19(A)(1)(h), wrong-way driving under 432.29, and bad left turn under 432.10(a)(2).
