It really helps us do original reporting like this. 🔍 Episode Overview: April 7, 2024, was a busy night. Patrolman Matthew Golembieski patrolled Ocean Avenue in Monmouth Beach around 11:25 PM. He spotted a 2012 BMW speeding north. The car went 53 MPH in a 40 MPH zone. Golembieski followed the BMW. The driver swerved and hit a curb. He activated his lights and pulled the car over. The stop happened on Ocean Boulevard near Broadway in Long Branch. He radioed dispatch about the stop. The driver was Deidre. He walked toward Deidre and saw signs she was not okay. He asked Deidre for her license and car papers. She only had her car registration. Deidre said she left work. The job was at the Colts Neck Country Club. She was going home after dropping off a friend. Deidre said she drank alcohol that night. She drank it before driving her car. Patrolman Peter Farmer came to help. Patrolman Golembieski checked her car registration. He thought Deidre was impaired. He asked her to exit the car. She then did some tests to check how sober she was. Officer Golembieski began with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. Next was the Walk and Turn. Deidre struggled with this exercise. She didn't touch heel-to-toe and turned the wrong way. Also, she miscounted her steps. The One Leg Stand was the third test. Deidre couldn't raise her foot right. Her counting was off, and her foot touched down too soon. Finally, there was the convergence test. Deidre’s driving was all over the place. She said she drank alcohol earlier. She failed the roadside tests badly. The officer arrested her. A search of her car turned up an open High Noon. It was against the law to have it. Because of the arrest, the car got impounded. It was held for 12 hours as John’s Law requires. Patrolman Golembieski took Deidre to the station. She would be processed there. Deidre completed processing and became a sober adult. She was released, but she must appear in court. Someone signed the Potential Liability Warning for her. Then Patrolman Golembieski wrote many citations for Deidre. These included operating under the influence and reckless driving. Careless driving and speeding were also listed. Citations for traffic on marked lanes and open container followed. Finally, she was cited for lacking a driver's license and insurance card. Over two years, Deidre racked up many parking tickets. These tickets came from Asbury Park, Sea Bright, and Red Bank. As of November 26, 2024, she still had not paid many of them. The court records tell the full story of her parking woes. 4:49 lol If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
