Nikolas Lafountain was acting strangely when his mother stopped by his place—only to discover his roommate, Michael Wilson, dead and hidden under a rug. As detectives dug deeper, a trail of bloody evidence pointed back to Lafountain, who was already in custody for a different crime. Wilson, a former addict trying to rebuild his life in Florida, had grown uneasy living with Lafountain in the weeks before his death. During questioning, Lafountain spun wild stories, lied repeatedly, and showed no emotion about Wilson’s brutal end—leaving investigators disturbed by his erratic behavior and eerie calm.
