A Police Officer was arrested and terminated after he fled a traffic stop from a Deputy Sherriff in Seminole County Florida. The Deputy tried several times to catch up to Orlando Police Officer Shaouni and pull him over in his marked police cruiser. When he finally did get him to stop, Shaouni became irate when questioned. He refused to show the Deputy his license, then got back into his cruiser and took off. Shaouni was later terminated after being charged with misdemeanor resisting an officer and felony fleeing eluding from law enforcement during a pursuit. Newly obtained court documents and video shows the Officer has received generous employee discount by the State Attorney. 40 Hours of Community Service, 12 month supervision, $500 fine, and a written apology letter to the deputy. If complete, the State Attorney’s Office will then drop the charges filed against him. The State of Florida Department of Law Enforcement will review the incident.
