On August 9, 2024, in Lake Mary, Florida, a law enforcement officer stopped a gray Hyundai Sonata driving on the wrong side of the road. The 25-year-old female driver appeared visibly upset and admitted to having consumed alcohol, estimating she had four to five shots of "rumple mints" after midnight. Although she initially complied with field sobriety tests, she later refused to continue, leading the officer to arrest her for driving under the influence. Her blood alcohol level was too high for jail processing, so she was taken to a hospital for medical clearance. A vehicle search found no weapons or drugs, and she was charged with DUI, with additional penalties possible if contraband was discovered during detention.
