🎥 In today's copyrighted documentary, we report on an incident in Port Charlotte, Florida. The 911 call came from inside the car. Instead of dropping his son off at school, a father drove off, allegedly drunk, and fled from the school resource officer. It was the driver's son, calling 911 on his own father. He told dispatch his dad was drunk and swerving on the way to school, and that he'd seen empty vodka bottles at the house that morning. Charlotte County deputies found the red Honda at a gas station. A deputy hit his lights and it kept going. Not fast, just refusing to stop, until traffic finally boxed it in. The boy got himself out of the car. His father wouldn't, and deputies had to pull him out. They reported the smell of alcohol, slurred speech, and bloodshot eyes. He refused the field sobriety tests and the breath test. The driver’s mother arrived while it was still unfolding, angry with her son, and told deputies she was taking her grandson home. Court records show the driver was charged with five offenses: driving under the influence, felony fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, refusal to submit to testing, resisting an officer without violence, and a felony count involving his child. These are allegations. He's presumed innocent unless and until convicted. The full story is in the documentary. This is the body-worn camera footage from the deputies who responded to the call. 📍 Location: Port Charlotte, Florida (Charlotte County) 📅 Incident date: January 10, 2025 📂 Source: Official police and court records ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 Traffic Stop Chaos 00:13 Son Calls 911 01:04 Boxed In by Traffic 02:06 Driver Detained 02:42 Family Learns Details 04:06 Grandma Steps In 04:34 Field Sobriety Refused 05:49 Street Lawyer Moment 06:59 Medical Complaints 07:54 DUI Refusal Paperwork 08:15 EMS and Medication Request 08:38 Medication and Anxiety 08:52 Calling for EMS 09:53 Charges and Pursuit Recap 11:14 Explaining the Stop 11:50 Personal Background 12:31 Blood Draw and Subpoena 12:56 Comfort and Support 13:50 Family Custody Questions 15:05 Jail and Next Steps 16:07 Case Wrap Up 📺 MORE LIKE THIS — watch the latest Breaking Bodycams documentaries: 👉 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL89-g15XsVc0WxE8UISQXCrCctoEPo46v ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📌 ABOUT BREAKING BODYCAMS Breaking Bodycams covers law enforcement encounters across the country, with a heavy focus on the Southwest and New Mexico.
