Want it? Uh not that I can see. >> A routine school drop-off suddenly turns into a dangerous police pursuit when a father suspected of driving under the influence refuses to stop with his young son still inside the vehicle. Deputies race to prevent a tragedy. What follows is a tense arrest, emotional moments, and a series of serious criminal charges. >> [music] >> The person who called 911 is the driver's own son from the backseat. What did he come down with? Like arthritis? >> Huh? Yeah. Yeah. >> The driver was charged with driving under the influence, DUI, DUI refusal, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, and resisting an officer without violence. This case serves as a reminder of how quickly a routine encounter can escalate when impaired driving and poor decisions are involved. What began as a school drop-off ended with a police pursuit, an emotional arrest, and a child caught in the middle of a situation that could have ended far differently. >> [music]
