On November 24, 2024, Lakewood Police Officer Dascani observed a vehicle driving with no headlights on. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was occupied by four individuals. The male passenger in the front seat had an active warrant for his arrest, but he was released because the police department handling that case would not pick him up. The 25-year-old driver of the vehicle was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. While she was performing these tests, it was revealed that the male passenger with the warrant had just been released from jail and he had just asked the driver to marry him. However, she was ultimately arrested for Operating a Vehicle Impaired. She was transported to the Lakewood Police Station, where she submitted to an evidential breath test. The result was 0.215% BAC. Her charges were discussed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
