On October 25, 2023, Roswell Police were called to the Walmart on a report of a possible shoplifter. Officer Sanchez observed the alleged shoplifter pushing a shopping cart through the parking lot and when he told her to stop, she started running. She was eventually caught and taken to the ground and arrested. She then proceeded to give the officers a fictitious name and date of birth. On February 24, 2024, the same woman was observed in the store again. Loss prevention agents were monitoring her activities via camera in the loss prevention office. Police body worn cameras captures the theft while it is happening. The woman is shown concealing hundreds of dollars of items in a trash can. She then walks right out of the store with a whole shopping cart full of merchandise. She didn't get far when Officer Franklin stops her and takes her to the ground. Again, she gives officers the same fake name and date of birth. The end of the video discusses her charges for both arrests. Both cases are still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
