Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: At about 2:09 a.m. on March 16, 2024, Hanover Township Patrolman Anthony D’Angelo drove west on Route 10 to assist Patrolman Morrisroe with a DUI case. Near Whippany Road, he saw a Honda Civic cross the double yellow line and travel on the wrong side of the road. D’Angelo followed and stopped the car on Whippany Road near Fairchild Place. The driver was 24-year-old Alejandra. As Alejandra looked for her documents, D’Angelo thought her movements seemed slow. She said she was heading home after dinner in Morristown, where she had eaten at the well-known bar The Homestead. At first, she denied drinking alcohol, but later admitted she had some earlier. D’Angelo thought she seemed impaired and asked her to get out for sobriety tests. During the Walk and Turn, Alejandra did not touch heel to toe, turned the wrong way, and could not keep her arms still. She struggled with the One Leg Stand, too. She did not raise her foot properly, failed to count as instructed, and put her foot down too soon. East Hanover Patrolman Labracio then gave her the HGN test. D’Angelo noted Alejandra’s erratic driving, the strong smell of alcohol, and her admission that she had been drinking. After she failed the roadside tests, officers arrested her for drunk driving. They placed her in a patrol car, and Ajaco Towing held her Honda for 12 hours under John’s Law. D’Angelo drove her to the police station for a breath test. At the station, Alejandra heard the Standard Statement for drivers and agreed to provide breath samples. Sergeant Prach administered the Alcotest, which showed a BAC of 0.12%, above the legal limit of 0.08%. After processing, officers took her to Hanover Township, where they photographed her and issued summonses. A sober adult signed for Alejandra and accepted the Potential Liability Warning.
