All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. What began with an Arkansas State Trooper spotting a Dodge Charger traveling at an extreme rate of speed quickly developed into a 140+ MPH pursuit on Interstate 40. According to the official Arkansas State Police report, Trooper Zachary Means observed a light green Dodge Charger with temporary paper tags traveling westbound near Mile Marker 207. Radar confirmed the Charger at approximately 130 MPH. Traffic initially forced the Dodge to slow down, allowing Trooper Means to close the distance and activate his emergency lights for a traffic stop. Instead of stopping, the driver allegedly accelerated away. The report states that the Charger continued westbound at speeds exceeding 140 MPH, cutting in and out of traffic and even using the shoulder to pass other motorists. As the pursuit continued for more than 20 interstate miles, the distance between the Charger and the trooper continued to grow. By the time the pursuit reached approximately Mile Marker 184, the Dodge was reportedly around a mile ahead. Watch the full dashcam footage to see how the pursuit unfolds. 📌 INCIDENT DETAILS • Date: August 16, 2026 • Time: Approximately 2:33 AM • Highway: Interstate 40 Westbound • Initial Observation: Near Mile Marker 207 • Reported Call Location: Mile Marker 206 • County: Monroe County, Arkansas • Area: Rural Monroe • Vehicle: Dodge Charger • Vehicle Color: Light Green • License Plate: Temporary paper tag • Driver: Unknown • Primary Trooper: TRP Zachary Means #43 • Agency: Arkansas State Police, Troop D • Initial Radar Speed: 130 MPH • Highest Reported Speed: More than 140 MPH • Pursuit Reached: Approximately Mile Marker 184 • Insurance Listed: No • Incident Type: Vehicle Pursuit Report note: Page 1 lists the incident date as August 16, 2026, while the narrative on page 3 says August 16, 2025. Given the report header and incident fields, this appears to be an internal date discrepancy, so I used the formal incident date of August 16, 2026 rather than silently changing it. ⚡ PURSUIT HIGHLIGHTS • Trooper Means spots Dodge Charger on I-40 West • Charger has temporary paper tags • Radar locks vehicle at 130 MPH • Traffic temporarily forces Charger to slow • Trooper Means catches up • Emergency lights activated • Traffic stop attempted • Driver allegedly refuses to stop • Charger rapidly accelerates away • Pursuit continues westbound on I-40 • Speeds exceed 140 MPH • Charger cuts in and out of traffic • Driver reportedly passes vehicles using shoulder • Trooper continues attempting to close distance • Charger begins pulling significantly ahead • Pursuit reaches Mile Marker 184 • Charger is approximately one mile ahead • Temporary tag cannot be positively identified ⚖️ OFFICIAL CHARGES No official charges are listed in the supplied Arkansas State Police report. The report identifies the subject as unknown, and Trooper Means states that he was unable to positively identify the temporary tag displayed on the Dodge Charger. Therefore, I would not present any inferred offenses as official charges. #arkansasstatepolice #policechase #highspeedchase
