What began with an Arkansas State Trooper spotting a Dodge Charger traveling at an extreme rate of speed quickly developed into a 140+ MPH pursuit on Interstate 40.
According to the official Arkansas State Police report, Trooper Zachary Means observed a light green Dodge Charger with temporary paper tags traveling westbound near Mile Marker 207. Radar confirmed the Charger at approximately 130 MPH.
Traffic initially forced the Dodge to slow down, allowing Trooper Means to close the distance and activate his emergency lights for a traffic stop.
Instead of stopping, the driver allegedly accelerated away.
The report states that the Charger continued westbound at speeds exceeding 140 MPH, cutting in and out of traffic and even using the shoulder to pass other motorists.
As the pursuit continued for more than 20 interstate miles, the distance between the Charger and the trooper continued to grow.
By the time the pursuit reached approximately Mile Marker 184, the Dodge was reportedly around a mile ahead.
Watch the full dashcam footage to see how the pursuit unfolds.
