buymeacoffee.com/BlueLineLens On June 19, 2024, at approximately 10:20 a.m., Police Officers Roberto Cuevas, Anthony Azzoline, Jayden Gonzalez, and Shyenna Vega were on patrol of the Hoboken Housing Authority when they were informed that there was a man carrying a syringe in his hand inside a building on the 500 block of Jackson Street. As they walked toward the location, they observed the man, later identified as 56-year-old Richard Maldonado of Jersey City, who they stopped and observed him carrying a gold chain. Officers located a small jewelry box nearby and discovered a small round of ammunition inside. Sgt. Jason Falco and Lt. David Olivera arrived on the scene. It was confirmed Maldonado had an active warrant out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department. He was placed under arrest and a search incident to arrest located a metal push rod commonly used for CDS cocaine and an access card to Hoboken Housing Authority property, which did not belong to him. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with theft of mislaid property, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. #hoboken #theft #bodycam
