On December 13, 2023, numerous callers reported a wrong way driver on I-25 in Santa Fe, NM. Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office deputies located the slow-moving vehicle and were able to get the vehicle to stop. Behind the wheel was a 20-year-old woman with her pants unbuttoned. The police report claims that deputies could smell the odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. The woman was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests (FSTs), which did not go well at all. She was arrested for DUI and was placed in the back of Corporal Nieto's patrol vehicle. The backseat camera captured more drama. The woman refused to provide a breath sample and was transported to jail. An inventory of her vehicle resulted in the discovery of an open container of alcohol. Her charges and the outcome of the case are discussed at the end of the video. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
