He noticed a black Toyota 4Runner making a sudden turn from Robinson Street onto Main Street. The vehicle hit a sign positioned on the double yellow line before swerving west through empty parking spots. As the driver passed his patrol car, Sergeant Marler made a U-turn and turned on his emergency lights to pull the driver over. The car stopped in front of the Paul Masse Chevrolet dealership. Sergeant Marler approached and identified the driver as Donna. Donna explained to the officer that she had just left Sunset Farm but insisted she had not been drinking. The officer observed that her movements seemed slow and her eyelids drooped. When asked for her license, Donna could not provide it. Suspecting she might be impaired, the officer requested that she perform some field sobriety tests. Sergeant Marler began the process with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. Next came the Walk and Turn test. In this test, Donna struggled, failing to align her steps heel-to-toe and counting out the correct number of steps. The third exercise was the One Leg Stand test. Donna had difficulty here as well. She couldn't lift her foot properly and had to place it down after about 20 seconds. The final test was a finger-count exercise. Sergeant Marler got back to his patrol car and reviewed Donna’s information. He found multiple previous arrests, including at least two DUIs in Rhode Island. After checking her details, he requested another officer to bring the portable breathalyzer test. Donna resisted and did not blow into the device correctly. Sergeant Marler arrested Donna for driving under the influence. Her erratic driving and the smell of alcohol were concerning. She struggled to perform field sobriety tests and failed the portable breath test. Additionally, Donna had a history of previous arrests and DUIs. At 4:11 PM, she was secured in the patrol car and taken to the South Kingstown Police Department by 4:21 PM for processing. At the station, Donna was informed about the Implied Consent Notice. At 4:46 PM, she refused to provide blood samples for testing. Later, she appeared before Justice of the Peace Tom O’Brien and was released at 7:10 PM, awaiting her court date on December 4, 2023. Sergeant Marler issued her several citations: DUI, refusal to take a chemical test, improper turning at an intersection, and violation of lane usage. 1:25 the dog is cute af. 1:26 Dog says to cop Officer, I'm begging you, please get me away 1:32 Love that Doggo, let her drive. 1:44 Those eyes are VACANT....nobody's home. 4:28 I was almost paralyzed in 1997 girl stop 4:41 and I don't drink. 16:37 Never would have guessed she was this messed up 18:50 I'm calling my attorney. 20:00 Watch as the cop puts his hand all over 22:15 The look on her face is priceless. 25:44 I love how right away she said she had never blown If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
