What began as a caregiving relationship eventually lead detectives into a disturbing investigation involving Linda Polk, 78-year-old Steven Zarnowitz, a disputed power of attorney, a questioned quitclaim deed, credit cards, and allegations surrounding his Macomb Township home. Linda Polk had been hired by Steven Zarnowitz to provide in-home care for his wife, Jill Margolick. But after Steven suffered a stroke in October 2024 and was placed on life support, prosecutors alleged that Polk presented herself as his niece, claimed authority through a fraudulent power of attorney, and participated in the decision to remove him from life support. Steven died on October 19, 2024. But his death was only the beginning of the investigation. Authorities alleged that Polk subsequently used a quitclaim deed to transfer Steven and Jill's home, opened and used credit cards in Steven's name, and committed other financial offenses. In this **Linda Polk police interrogation**, detectives begin calmly—but the interview changes dramatically when they start putting the documents in front of her. Polk tells investigators that **“there's nothing to hide.”** She says Steven told her the house was supposed to go to her. But detectives challenge her account piece by piece: the power of attorney, the deed, the notary information, when the documents were filed, and the signatures. At one point, the detective directly accuses her: **“You're trying to steal their house.”** Then comes one of the most important moments of the interrogation, when investigators confront Polk over Steven's signature. Watch the interrogation and decide for yourself what Linda Polk's answers reveal as the detective works through the evidence. ### CASE UPDATE Linda Polk was initially charged with **first-degree premeditated murder** along with forgery, embezzlement from a vulnerable adult, identity theft and financial-transaction-related offenses. The first-degree murder charge was later **dismissed by a Macomb County Circuit Court judge**, who found insufficient evidence supporting the murder charge and concluded that Steven Zarnowitz died from natural causes following his stroke. Prosecutors appealed that decision. On **July 15, 2026**, the Michigan Court of Appeals granted the prosecution's application for leave to appeal. This does **not constitute a conviction or a finding that Polk committed murder**. The remaining criminal allegations should likewise not be treated as proof of guilt unless established in court. ### DISCLAIMER This video is presented for **documentary, educational, news-reporting and commentary purposes**. It contains discussion of allegations, police interrogation footage and criminal proceedings. All criminal allegations are allegations unless proven in a court of law. Linda Polk is presumed innocent of unresolved charges unless and until proven guilty. Commentary in this video is intended to examine the interrogation, investigative techniques, statements, contradictions and publicly reported evidence and should not be interpreted as an independent determination of guilt. ### HASHTAGS #LindaPolk #PoliceInterrogation #TrueCrime #Interrogation #InterrogationAnalysis #TrueCrimeDocumentary #CrimeInvestigation #DetectiveInterrogation #InterrogationPsychology #MichiganTrueCrime #MacombCounty ### SEARCH KEYWORDS / TAGS Linda Polk, Linda Polk interrogation, Linda Polk case, Linda Polk police interrogation, Linda Polk nurse, Linda Polk caregiver, Steven Zarnowitz, Steven Zarnowitz case, Linda Polk Steven Zarnowitz, nurse accused of pulling the plug, caregiver interrogation, nurse interrogation, caregiver accused of murder, power of attorney case, fraudulent power of attorney, quitclaim deed fraud, Macomb County true crime, Macomb Township case, Michigan true crime, police interrogation, full police interrogation, interrogation analysis, interrogation psychology, detective interrogation, suspect interrogation, true crime interrogation, criminal investigation, financial fraud investigation, caregiver fraud, elder financial exploitation, identity theft investigation, interrogation footage, true crime documentary, police interview, 2026 true crime
