🚨 OFFICER ARRESTED FOR DWI WHILE RESPONDING TO DEADLY FIGHT 🚨 A Saline County Sheriff’s Office detective has resigned after being arrested on suspicion of DWI while responding to the scene of a deadly fight that claimed the life of 17-year-old Bauxite High School student Gunner Frazier. According to Arkansas State Police, Christopher McCauley was on duty and driving a department vehicle when he responded to North Detonti Road early Saturday morning as deputies investigated a large fight involving an injured juvenile. While at the scene, another deputy reportedly detected the odor of alcohol coming from McCauley. He was relieved of duty, and Arkansas State Police took over the DWI investigation. According to the breath-test record, McCauley registered a .165 blood alcohol concentration on the first test at approximately 4:00 a.m. A second test conducted two minutes later recorded .154. McCauley was arrested and charged with DWI, first offense. The Saline County Sheriff’s Office said he resigned from the department the following day. The deadly fight involving Frazier is a separate investigation. Authorities say deputies were called to the 5300 block of North Detonti Road around 12:30 a.m. on September 19. Frazier was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Nineteen-year-old Camryn Melton has been arrested and charged with manslaughter in connection with Frazier’s death. His bond was set at $70,000, and he has since been released on bond.
