An officer from the nearby Sea Bright Police Department had reported the driver heading north on Highway 36 in a black Tesla. Hartsgrove took a position at Highway 36 and Miller Street before turning onto the highway. Patrolman Osuch was farther ahead and stopped the Tesla near Linden Avenue. Once the driver pulled over, Hartsgrove spoke with her and identified her as Tinamarie Jaehnert. During their conversation, Hartsgrove noticed signs that Tinamarie might be impaired. Her 10-year-old son was in the back seat, and she said they were returning from the beach in Sea Bright. Because the officers suspected she had been drinking, they asked her to leave the vehicle and complete field sobriety exercises. She performed poorly, supporting their concerns about her condition. The officers arrested Tinamarie for DWI after noting her erratic driving, the smell of alcohol, and her failure to complete the exercises satisfactorily. Captain George Roxby decided she would not be handcuffed in front of her son. Hartsgrove drove Tinamarie and her son to the Highlands Police Department for processing. A search of the Tesla found an open container of Sierra Nevada beer and a reusable metal bottle containing what appeared to be red wine. The vehicle was impounded for 12 hours under John's Law. At the station, officers read Tinamarie the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators. She agreed to provide breath samples. Her Alcotest results showed a 0.18% BAC, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08%. After processing was complete, she was released to a sober adult pending her court appearance. The adult signed the Potential Liability Warning on her behalf. Tinamarie received these citations: Operating under the influence (39:4-50) Reckless driving (39:4-96) Driving with a suspended license (39:3-40) Open container (39:4-51A.B) She also faced a criminal charge of endangering a child (2C:24-4A(2)). Court records show that the Highlands Borough Municipal Court found Tinamarie guilty of operating under the influence and driving with a suspended license on May 21, 2024. She had to use an ignition interlock device for nine months, spend 12 hours at an intoxicated driver resource center, and pay $830 in fines. The remaining two citations were dismissed under a plea agreement. Tinamarie was arrested again for a second DWI in Mount Arlington, New Jersey, on July 28, 2025. She was found guilty on March 24, 2026. That conviction required her to use an ignition interlock device for two years, spend 48 hours at an intoxicated driver resource center, complete 30 days of community service, and serve two days in jail. She also paid $1,063 in fines. If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
