Police bodycam footage captures the dramatic moment officers in Silver Spring, Maryland, confront a knife-wielding suspect linked to a series of stabbings across two nearby locations. On the morning of July 22, 2023, Montgomery County police officers were dispatched after multiple 911 calls reported several victims suffering from stab wounds in the area of Veirs Mill Road and Colie Drive. Responding officers found three women and one man injured in the attacks. During the search for the suspect, Officer Justin Lee encountered a man later identified as 19-year-old Franklin Castro Ordonez of Gaithersburg. Despite repeated commands to drop the weapon, Castro Ordonez advanced toward the officer while armed with a knife. Officer Lee fired multiple shots, striking the suspect. Police immediately rendered aid until medics arrived, but the suspect was later pronounced dead at the scene. All victims received medical attention, with three transported to local hospitals and one treated at the scene. No officers were injured. ⚠️ Disclaimer: This video contains bodycam footage that may be disturbing to some viewers.
