He struck two women, sending them to the hospital, before hitting the e-bike rider, who had fled on foot, according to police. Investigators identified Hodge as the suspect and planned to arrest him while he worked as a security guard at the Dior store on Grant Street. Officers, aware he was armed, repeatedly ordered him to raise his hands. Body camera footage showed Hodge appearing to draw a handgun from his waistband and aim it at officers, prompting several officers to open fire. After Hodge was struck, officers immediately rendered aid, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
