On June 28, 2025, officers responded to a residence in Villa Park, Illinois, for what was initially reported as a medical assist. The call quickly escalated into a domestic battery investigation after a husband reported being assaulted during an argument with his wife, who had recently relapsed after months of sobriety. As officers interviewed the husband, wife, and witnesses, conflicting accounts emerged regarding what had taken place inside the home. After reviewing statements and evidence at the scene, officers determined there was probable cause to make an arrest. The investigation concluded with Lisa Probilsky being taken into custody. She was charged with Domestic Battery by Physical Contact and Domestic Battery Causing Bodily Harm, both misdemeanor offenses.
