Woman Runs from Police then Claims Her Passenger is a Wanted Killer On 3/20/2025, An officer with the Des Moines Police Department noticed a vehicle with no license plate and a broken tail light so he decided to follow the vehicle. Before the officer could even conduct a traffic stop the driver began speeding away from the officer. They were both then transported to the Polk county jail where the woman was charged with eluding, interference with official acts, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger was charged with interference with official acts and possessions of psilocybin mushrooms that were found in his back packet during a search. The passenger has no record of a shooting on his record indicating that he was most likely not the shooter that the woman claimed he was.
