On March 12, 2018, a birthday sleepover in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida turned into a deadly attack. Seventeen-year-old Corey Johnson fatally stabbed 13-year-old Jovanni Sierra and attacked two other people inside the BallenIsles home. Johnson was later convicted of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder. Investigators said Johnson stabbed Jovanni 49 times. During the subsequent investigation, Johnson was questioned about what happened inside the home and the beliefs and motivations he claimed were behind the attack. This video presents the Corey Johnson police interrogation alongside verified case context, court developments, and the eventual outcome of the case. Johnson was sentenced to life terms after his convictions. In July 2026, the Florida Supreme Court upheld the challenged structure of his sentences, ruling that it did not violate the Eighth Amendment.
