June 29th, 2024,
Greenale, Wisconsin. The Greenale Police
Department responded to multiple calls
during a carnival at South Ridge Mall,
including a report of an armed robbery,
a weapon complaint, a theft, three
fights in progress, six disorderly
conduct incidents, and a report of shots
fired. At around 700 p.m., officers were
patrolling a carnival in South Ridge
Mall parking lot when a fight broke out.
As officers arrived on scene, everyone
dispersed except for one girl who told
officers that she was pepper-sprayed
during the fight. She was later
identified as Zaniah.
While waiting for medics to check out
Zaniah's eye, another female nearby took
a fighting stance with clenched fists.
As officers attempted to detain her,
Zaniah approached and threw a punch over
the officer's shoulder towards the
female. Zaniah was then detained using a
bear hug and guided to a grassy area.

 The other female who raised
her fist was told to leave the scene.
She did not leave but continued yelling,
resisting, and knocking an officer's
hand away. Based on her interference
with the arrest and her unwillingness to
follow lawful commands, officers were
forced to tase her.

evening. Eight juveniles and one adult.
The juveniles were referred to the
Milwaukee County Children's Court Center
for charges. Both the mall and nearby
