June 29th, 2024,
Greenale, Wisconsin. The Greenale Police
Department responded to multiple calls
during a carnival at South Ridge Mall,
including a report of an armed robbery,
a weapon complaint, a theft, three
fights in progress, six disorderly
conduct incidents, and a report of shots
fired. At around 700 p.m., officers were
patrolling a carnival in South Ridge
Mall parking lot when a fight broke out.
As officers arrived on scene, everyone
dispersed except for one girl who told
officers that she was pepper-sprayed
during the fight. She was later
identified as Zaniah.
While waiting for medics to check out
Zaniah's eye, another female nearby took
a fighting stance with clenched fists.
As officers attempted to detain her,
Zaniah approached and threw a punch over
the officer's shoulder towards the
female. Zaniah was then detained using a
bear hug and guided to a grassy area.
