Stop! I don't care. I tell you to stop, you stop. >> An officer gets flagged down outside of Burlington. A woman is walking out fast with a basket full of merchandise she never paid for. He tells her to stop. Instead, she throws the items on the ground and keeps moving. He pulls his taser and she finally slows down. But the second he grabs her, she tries to slip out of her own clothing to get away. They end up on the ground. His body camera gets knocked loose and through all of it, he keeps telling her he is trying to be nice and that he will call her an ambulance. Here is the thing, resisting arrest is its own criminal charge, completely separate from the theft. Fighting at this point does not get you away, it just stacks the charges higher.
