on the evening of March 7th
2022 the Orlando Police Department
responded to the scene at Universal
Studios in Orlando Florida at the theme
park for a potential battery the
following shows the body-worn camera
footage of what happened during the
incident hey ma'am I you for a second

what's going on man uh she's my mom I
just yeah I just take out with my
brother and one girl but my my mom don't
like this girl okay
so
something it's all right bud I'm just
talking to about what happened I'll talk
to

minute she's just hungry because she
think everything I think I abandon her
not happen not seriously you're
abandoning her yeah she thinking but
it's not just
iing so what happened back in the
hallway back over there yeah I know you
know they have cameras everywhere I know
I'm so sorry about this okay so what
happened
I I don't know what's happening did she
attack you yeah she she's just angry

what what do you know what happened were
you in the hallway when all this
happened what happened uh she was
fighting with the girl that came with us
she actually a woman I think she
is that your girlfriend it's not we are

she go uh we work
together you weren't together we we came
together uh with three right and the
same car and but after that she just oh
she left already yeah I don't know this
place at the bathroom she she went out
okay and we never saw her again okay
okay so the relation [ __ ] that you have
with your mom you how old are

23 you know you guys you're going to
have a domestic relation the rest of
your life okay if you were a child she
she I'm saying if you were a child like
you're under 18 I'm assuming you're 18
sorry you look young um but if you're
under 18 and your mom wants to
discipline you or whatever she can do
that but once she become an adult she
kind of loses that right she has to
treat you like any other adult okay
as far as state law is concerned you
guys from Florida yeah you live here
okay so she needs to learn to control
that part now she's fighting with the
other girl and the other girl doesn't
want to do anything and she doesn't want
to do anything they want to go their
separate ways that's fine
but whatever happened on video they saw
something going on on video it looked
like a big thing I'm assuming you were
just trying to break them up yeah just
okay and the other girls gone I think

man so sounds like the this is the son
and mom okay so son had another girl
friend girl
not his guest m mom doesn't like her so
Mom and her got into it in the bathroom
area okay he was trying to break them up
and what he says so nothing it wasn't
direct nothing directed between them two
it other than trying the girl took off
already so
and they're just starting to leave so I
I haven't heard what he said or what she
said yet
but um I mean I can go watch the video
if youall want to press it further I
don't

know it's all right on footage what do
you have on a foot footage so footage
shows her going up to him in the admin
hallway and just like strikes him right
in the face and then continues to like
hit him and he tries grabbing her
multiple times to hold her but the whole
time she's still putting up a fight
kicking him trying to hit him slap him
and stuff and then um you know again
it's just probably like 30 seconds of
him there was a lady that walked out
with him but she was never part of the
yeah cuz he said that the mom and her
got into it first and he was trying to
break them up and he said mom was mad at
him cuz he felt like she she feels like
he's abandoning her and she doesn't like
the other lady and blah blah
blah typical familial struggle I
guess so his mom and son yes um he said
that he's 23 or 22 something basically
she's upset at him because of this girl
that he introduced or
whatever
um feels like he's abandoning her all
sort of stuff um so she just I got into
he said that she got into it started
getting into with the girl first and I
think he was just trying to restrain her
and she slapped him a couple times
according on on the video oh she's
saying that he grabbed her she's not
saying that she touched him yeah I'm
going to go watch the video just to kind
of see but if I mean if mean that's
still domestic battery on an adult son
you don't have the right to yeah you
know what I
mean so I have to go look at the video
real quick and see what's on there but
we may end up having a temp
her based on her story it might be him
but
yeah all right so Bonnie stay I'll stay

speak with the potential people involved
in the
incident So based on what I saw on the
video um I'm going to have to take her
in okay I don't have a choice it's all
in the video it's you guys have a
domestic relationship like I said for
the rest of your life um it's not okay
for her to put her hands on you like
that
um I understand culturally things may
happen at home which nobody ever calls
the cops about
but when you come out to a public place
like this when there's cameras
everywhere we can't not do something you
know what I'm saying I'm I'm obligated
by law so I just want I want you to
understand that um I'm going to try to
explain that to her I'm going to have
you fill out a statement just based on
the the incident what happened but I
mean like I said we already have it on
video um the initial contact is made by
her to you um in the hallway she slaps
you a couple times all you tried to do
is restrain her and then you kind of
tussled back and forth a little bit but
you know it's not it's unacceptable and
we just go off based on the primary
aggressor okay so should be able to do
you speak
English yeah I want to make sure that he
understands what what's going on are you
Dad yeah your dad okay you want explain
to him what's going on
go to the table that's fine if they need
to they use take save if that or they
can go to the office probably if they
want to sit they have a desk they can
sit out in the office they
do and

um can you explain to her or ask her if
she understands what a domestic
relationship is by law in the State of
Florida say or explain that to her what
it is so how this what domestication is
and then as a law enforcement officer
when I observe or see
cont domestic related crime such as
battery I have to take appropriate
action should be the
video as the Son and the other female
were exiting the hallway for the
bathrooms she comes in physically stops
the sun slaps him several times is what
initiates the whole physical contact
between her and the
son the State of Florida that
constitutes a battery

to explain to her that even though it is
her son he's an adult now so they have a
domestic relationship just like anybody
any other adult and she can't put her
hands on him just cuz she gets upset at
him okay so she needs to understand that
especially in public okay I don't
condone it at any place but if you're
going to do it in public where there's
cameras and everything else this is the
risk that you
take good all right we go this
way I stop by the office so I can drop
the watch off to the husband

process of her being able to see the
judge and all
that have anything on to let us
know does they do a body scan
all suspects are innocent until proven
