dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving a white 2017 Mercedes G that had struck a pole on Mitchell place near Oaks Road Sergeant Steven seir with the little silver Police Department arrived on scene around 10:51 p.m. he observed that the Mercedes had sustained severe front end damages and there was airbag deployment inside the vehicle he made contact with the residents who lived near the crash scene and they informed him that the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene [Music] is got an extra flashlight mine [ __ ] just died and just take more I have like five and I don't know where any of them are um I just going to keep looking for this chick yeah she might have went that way cuz the guy said at this house here said he came out the front door and didn't see anybody yeah I'll keep looking around but yeah the lady on uh she was up here she said she had somebody run across D so I don't know all right I'll I'll thanks hey Che all right yes see even get a suspect and he eventually Lo located the suspect in front of a residence in Rumson Road Sergeant skar also headed over as patrolman White made contact with the suspect the woman was identified as Melissa and she told the officers that she was going through a divorce and that she had been with her friend earlier that evening she denied consuming any alcohol after the crash but admitted to consuming alcohol earlier that evening based on their suspicion of impairment Melissa was asked to perform feel sobriety exercises yeah take a breath think are you okay have a seat on the Little Rock it was instead of being a straight 35 to my house it was a b wasn't paying attention on the phone and I wasn't paying attention and I was feeding okay and the matter of probably 5 minutes I ruin by going through a divorce Marissa and my ex is a Long Branch and I've been on the pH with him the whole time which probably was a mistake that's why I was not paying attention were you at you at you at I could just go straight down 35 to middl Town M and he's like oh well pick them up cuz I have work and I so I was like talking to him speeding down going away I don't know mhm I'm like and I'm like in my hun I'm like this is my life I can't believe this is my life on a Monday night like this is not how I thought my life would be we just got divorced we sold our house in middle toown and I live in a townhous he moved to the long bran okay and um it's like a really bad time in my life okay and I always feared this because I heard this happening to people when they got divorced and now what happened did things like when people get divorced bad things happen I feel like they just that's not up not being smart okay how much did you have to drink at your friend's house um I had two drinks but I also had a lot to eat I had a chicken fingers french fries Caesar salad okay what you have to drink how much I have to drink what what oh I had two mixed drinks that she made okay and you want you were at her house you guys out at the bar or restaurants or anything just her house drinking just her house and then you were going to Long Branch to pick my kidss up which I never go that way I always go down 35 and of course I was going there and I put it in my GPS but as I was in my GPS like he was like arguing with me on the phone so I wasn't paying attention Okay and I fear like I honestly was he on the phone when you hit the pole like he was like calling me okay so do you know what happened yeah what happened I wasn't I was speeding and I wasn't paying attention and then what happened and then I like I obviously and but I made sure I did not hit anybody nobody was injured and I you made sure how' you make sure because I talked to the neighbor and I said which neighbor some guy was out there and I said oh my God I'm I talked to him for a long really long time he like I'm feeling he probably call the cops because why didn't you call the cops because I thought he would yeah why didn't you stay there then because I said oh my God my life is over I can't where were you running to nowhere I wasn't walking anywh I was still on my M I wasn't even are you hurt no I don't think so are you I'm like in shock okay I don't think I'm besides like shooken up the neighbor I said nobody's hurt right nobody else hit my I didn't hit anybody and I don't think anybody got hurt no one his house was far back and I said I told him I said you you're going to call the cops I said I'm I feel so bad I'm so sorry I did this I'm so thankful I didn't hit anybody nobody got hurt he said yeah nobody got hurt and he said he was going to call the cop and I said I just need to breathe I just need to walk and then he just let me walk he should be doing uh SFS oh my God I'm sorry do me a was administered by patrolman white during the walk and turn test Melissa failed to touch Heel To Toe on each step and turned improperly the final exercise was the one leg stand test and Melissa failed to raise her foot in the proper fashion and put her foot down before the test was complete okay easy enough no uh you on no medication at all no okay well see my pen here mm what color is it it the Influence careless driving leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report accident test done and I'd rather have a best because I don't even think I'm that done I just can't function the
