being honest with you guys around 12:20 a.m. on April 15th 2022 officer David went of the Westfield Police Department was dispatched to the site of a disabled motor vehicle at the intersection of Raymond Street and Mountain Avenue upon approaching the 2018 Nissan Rogue officer went notice that there was airbag deployment and the passengers side rim and tire were severely damaged from striking the Rocks nearby officer Nicholas Bon officer Samuel for and Sergeant Gregory Penn arrived shortly afterwards to assist the driver of the vehicle 31-year-old giano bantos told the officer that she was unable to properly navigate the right turn from Mountain Avenue to Raymond street she also admitted to officer went that she had consumed three drinks at a restaurant earlier that night before we heading home going to be airag re hello that's not going to work because I live here was one of you live here no no no and I live there you driving yes okay yep that's that's what did where did you attention just give the ID to that off than what we can do is I I could slide my car around and just face it this way I am I'm honestly that way I can't even believe faing this way can can they fix I sobriety exercises Sergeant Penn and officer ban assisted with the field sobriety exercises the first exercise involved the recitation of the alphabet from D to W but Yano failed to follow instructions and recited it from C to Z the second exercise was the horizontal gaze nystagmus test which were performed a separate time by officer went and officer for during the hgn test the officers noticed the lack of smooth Pursuit distinct and sustained nagus at maximum deviation and the onset of nystagmus prior to 45° in both eyes the third exercise was the walk and turn test and yanel did not walk Heel To Toe or keep her arms at her side while failing to utilize the yellow lines properly the final exercise was the one leg stand test and yanel did not raise her foot in the proper fashion while swaying and putting her foot down multiple times first I just want to you know do your best to calm down I know you're a little shaken up am a little just do I'll hold your phone into to be placed under arrest for driving Under the Influence after a short struggle Sergeant Penn was able to get the handcuffs on her and officer went escorted her to the patrol car officer for remained unseen until the vehle was towed for a mandatory 12-hour hold as required by John's law being placed under arrest if you you're not a bad listen you don't I you if you don't put your hands behind your
