around 3:06 a.m. on April 15th 2024 officer Joseph Joya with the Manalo Police Department was on patrol on Ocean Avenue and he observed a 2007 Ford Fusion speeding Northbound by going 54 mph in a 40 mph Zone as followed the vehicle he observed the driver swerving and failing to stay in the lane he activated his emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop and the driver pulled over on Main Avenue in Bay Head he notified dispatch about the traffic stop and made contact with the driver who was identified as Gigi sorry it's okay I was just trying to get home I live in I live in I live my coworker lives in Seaside I work seide oh what do you do for work I run operate Game Stands any problems with your license no absolutely not did you feel yourself swerving no I mean I'm tired I've been there since about 12:00 this afternoon I've been in the basement the last since about 7 8:00 doing inventory and stuff I'm a little tired okay whenever you find it just put your hand out the window okay I'm going to go check your stuff all right oh good there you go here you can as he approached Gigi he detected the odor of alcohol Gigi was asked for her documents and she provided them without issue she told officer Joya that she had left work in Seaside and that she was headed home based on his suspicion of impairment Gigi was eventually asked to perform field sobriety exercises after officer gar galone arrived on scene to [Music] assist you might turn your vehicle off I'm just going to run you through some tests okay he I get my stuff back what do you mean you didn't give me my [ __ ] [ __ ] started with the recitation of the alphabet which Gigi did satisfactorily the second exercise was the onle like stand test during the one like stand test Gigi failed to raise her foot in the proper fashion and put her foot down before the test was complete the third exercise was the walk and turn test and Gigi did not touch Heel To Toe on each step while taking an incorrect number of steps the final exercise was the horizontal gaze nagus hgn test and it was performed by Officer galone where he observed the lack of smooth Pursuit distinct and sustained nystagmus at maximum deviation and the onset of nagus prior to 45° he did not observe vertical N stmas I did some college courses you did some college yeah I got my GED and I went to college doesn't have to do with anything just going to ask you some questions it's the test start makes me a little insecure to ask me about my college courses well it goes on to the next question are you familiar with d English alphabet yeah I guess yeah her erratic driving the odor of alcohol and her inability to satisfactorily complete the field sobriety exercises Gigi was placed under arrest after she was placed under arrest her vehicle was impounded for a 12-hour hold according to John's law officer Joya transported Gigi to the maning police department for further processing turn be under arrest for can we stop and go pee somewhere at least going back to the headquarters once we're done for our process you go to the B no I really haven't PE since 7 o just FYI I'm just can roll up your sleeve right too tight you're all right I have processing Gigi CH was released a friend pending her court appearance he signed the potential shery warning on GG's behalf officer Joya issued GG the following citations operating Under the Influence
