anzelone observed a 2001 Mercedes driving erratically on Route 206 in Hillsboro New Jersey he activated his lights and began pursuing the vehicle and the driver eventually stopped in a parking lot of a quick check as officer anzalone approached the vehicle he asked the driver 23-year-old Mark codc where he was coming from he told the officer that him and his girlfriend had been at the clubhouse in Somerville and later admitted to consuming three drinks when questioned separately his girlfriend corroborated his account that he had consumed three drinks at the clubhouse in Somerville New Jersey another officer arrived at the scene shortly afterwards to assist Quick Check lot New Jersey Mike 298 Charlie charlie9 Charlie hello how are you please C your license your insurance please thank you exercise involved the horizontal gaze nystagmus test the second exercise involved the walk and turn test and Mark failed to properly walk Heel To Toe or turn as instructed the final exercise was the one leg stand test and Mark failed to raise his foot in the proper fashion or count in the correct sequence so you have any problems with with your eyes or anything like that no not at all okay do you heel the toe steps upon the completion of your ninth step okay I want you to keep your front foot planted and turn around with your other foot take nine heeler toe steps back okay from the test you're his vehicle was searched and impounded for a mandatory 12-hour period as required by John's law Mark was transported by Officer enzone to the Hillsboro Township Police Headquarters once at police HQ he read his the Miranda rights as well as the standard statement for motor vehicle operators he going so we'll be going to Hillsboro PD he'll be released in like an hour he's going to blow through a breathalizer and then he's going to I can drive him home all right I think you a little bit too much to drink foro you should not be driving yes sir no you're right yeah you going that's going to
