Department were dispatched to 300 in Riverside Avenue after Tricom central dispatch received a cellular telephone crash notification officer Patel first arrived on scene and noticed that a 2016 niece on Juke had sustained severe FR 10 damages after crashing into the front ledge of the electric substation building he made contact with the driver of the Nissan who was identified as Maria I'm in South Alan you in South algen yeah okay you're not hurt though right no I'm fine okay try got 305 happy 20 don't turn your car on I'm not going to tell you again I I didn't she's in South Al right now huh she's in South Alan right now show 1095 information in a minute you okay yeah what happened I don't know you don't know what happened no okay fine are you injured at all no not at all not at all algen even though she was in St Charles Sergeant Bradley Schumacher arrived on scene shortly afterwards and began his DUI investigation as he was speaking with Maria Sergeant Shumacher detected the odor of alcohol and observed other indicators of impairment when Maria was asked where she was coming from she told Sergeant shimaka that she had left a work Christmas party and that she was headed home she stated that she had been at more Brewery in St Charles which does not exist however there is a more Brewing Company Brewery in Bartlett Illinois uh two white claws two white claws yeah that's it that's it okay that's it about what time did you drink those you I went to like two other places after that so I was like they fine okay um let me ask you this what's your uh what's your highest to D but she was unable to do so she was subsequently unable to count backwards from 58 to 37 as well since she had been involved in a car crash Sergeant Shumacher waited for First Responders with the St Charles Fire Department to come on scene and evaluate Maria she ultimately declined transport to the hospital after she was cleared by First Responders Sergeant Shumacher asked Maria to perform nystagmus at maximum deviation and the onset of nystagmus prior to 45° the second exercise was the walk and turn test during the walk and turn test Maria did not touch Heel To Toe on each step turned him properly and failed to keep her arms at her sides the third exercise was the one leg stand test during the one leg stand test Maria failed to raise her foot in the proper fashion and put her foot down before the test was complete you're going to keep your head still and you're going to follow the movement of my stimulus with your eyes only you're going to keep following my stimulus with your eyes only until I tell you to stop my stimulus is going to be my right index finger do you understand the instructions your right answer got it okay so you're just going to watch my right finger you're not going to move your head you're just going to follow my finger with your eyes and your eyes okay I'm sorry I'm try to face down open your eyes up I'm not blinding you just look at the tip of and it is maintain this position until I've completed the instructions do not start to walk until I tell you to do you understand the instructions so far what's that got it got it okay when I say begin take nine Heel To Toe steps on the line turn around and take nine Heel To Toe steps back on the line make your turn by keeping your front foot on the line and turn by taking a series of small steps with the other foot I'm going to demonstrate that for you okay so you're in that starting position we're still trying to determine what left foot on the line right foot on line your left foot with the heel of your right foot against toe your left foot your arms to your sides I'm going to demonstrate three steps you're going to take nine so nine heel toe steps on the line one two three
