on August 12th 2024 patrolman Kevin Connor with the highlands Police Department was assisting patrolman and tono flues on a traffic stop on State Route 36 North and Allison Lane he observed a gray 2015 Toyota Tundra speed passed him at around 60 or 70 mph and got into his patrol car so he could catch up with that vehicle he eventually located the vehicle and activated his emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop the driver pulled over on 7th Avenue off of Memorial Parkway in Atlantic Highlands patrolman Connor made contact with the driver who was identified as Haley he also made contact her boyfriend whose father was the owner of the vehicle all right we'll move on no why why did do is she that wasted oh [ __ ] she could have killed us yeah so she when I got behind her all over the road she almost hit the carb in front of the snow she she went by us do cooking probably 657 that's crazy good evening Patrol MCC Conor with the house P can I please get your license speaking with Haley patroman Connor detected the odor of alcohol and observed other indicators of impairment Haley informed Peta and Connor they were coming from second Jetty in sebrite she admitted to consuming two beers before operating a motor vehicle and her boyfriend had also been drinking based on his suspicion of impairment he called for another officer to assist with field sub variety exercises patrolman Joseph flabella with the Atlantic Highlands Police Department arrived on scene shortly afterwards right can I just read that back to you real quick your radio is cut in out yeah alphabet which hilly was unable to do successfully the third exercise was the walk and turn test during the walk and turn test Haley did not touch Heel To Toe on each step and used her arms for balance the final exercise was the one leg stand test and Haley did not raise her foot in the proper fashion while putting her foot down before the test was complete Maybe e [Applause] just your eyes the bridge 1760 cany 101 22 2 750 all right you yeah from it's 22750 22750 [Music] see at the station hilly was read the standard statement for motor vehicle operators and she agreed to submit breath her Alco test results indicated a back level of 0o point to 38% which was nearly triple the legal limit of 0.08% after they were finished processing Haley she was released pending a court appearance Haley was issued the following citations operating Under the Influence operating Under the Influence under rage reckless driving reckless driving and failure to maintain Lane you go why is it just um just you're on a bench and it's cemented to the ground like I'm not worried about you going anywhere I know but like just C just have like oh policy says we have to just do one no but physics physics
