anymore on April 1st 2023 April Fool's
Day at approximately 1:22 a.m. Deputy
Randy Miller of the Whitman County
Sheriff's Office noticed a 2007 Corolla
almost strike the curb when turning
North from Whitman Street onto Grand
Avenue in pulman Washington as Deputy
Miller followed the diver he noticed
that she was going in the wrong
direction for a period of time he
proceeded to initiate a traffic stop the
driver 19-year-old cyana Blair Lawrence
seemed incoherent when she was asked if
she knew why she was being stopped
sayana told Deputy Miller that her and
her friend were coming from Timber a
popular bar in the area but denied
consuming any alcohol earlier that
evening hello Deputy Miller Sheriff's
Office driver's license vehicle
registration I is this a
registration or this might be I really
don't know which one's a registration
and insurance

insurance and it expired on February
24th okay my mom did just she told me
today she did just talk to them and she

and her admission to having been at a
popular local bar Deputy Miller afforded
her an opportunity to perform voluntary
field sobriety test Deputy Heidi lambley
arrived shortly afterwards to assist
with the traffic stop Deputy Miller
observed cna's eyes to be bloodshot and
watery while her speech was slurred the
first test involved the horizontal gaze
nagus hgn where the deputy observed the
lack of smooth Pursuit distinct and
sustained nagus at maximum deviation and
the onset of nagus prior to
45° during the walk and turn test cyana
was unable to walk a straight line and
she almost fell over on her first
attempt at turning for final one leg
stand test cyana was unable to maintain
her balance and she only count counted
to six over the course of 30 seconds all
right if you could just stand with your
feet together hands at your side you're
going to remain in that position while I
do this next test okay what I'm going to

subsequently transported to the Pullman
Police Department where waved her
constitutional rights and agreed to

you are now being asked to submit to a
test of your breath which consists of
two separate samples of your breath
taken independently to determine alcohol
concentration one you are now advised
that you have the right to refuse this
breath test and that if you refuse a
your driver's license permit or
privileged to Drive will be revoked or
denied by the Department of Licensing
for at least one year and B your refusal
to submit to this test may be used in a
criminal trial two you are further
advised that if you submit to this
breath test and the test is administered
your driver's license permit or
privileged to drive will be suspended
revoked or denied by the Department of
Licensing for at least 90 days if you
are a age 21 or over and the test
indicates the alcohol concentration of
your breath is 0.08 or more or you are
in violation of RCW 46

information provided in the steps
required in order to contact
departmental license departmental
licensing reference the possible
suspension of your driver's license

here this form right here says notice of
a right to a hearing I have been given
written notice of my right to a hearing
including the steps required to obtain a
hearing and understand that the notice
of suspension revocation or denial of
license will be mailed to the address of
record on file with the Department of
Licensing what that means is they're
going to mail it to the address that's
on your driver's license yes so by

transporting her over there me doing
paperwork and then the jail doing their
side of the paperwork to get her entered
into the system and then before she can
be released all that paperwork's got to
be taken care of first which is where I
say it could be three could be five
hours um so

the implied consent warnings to her and
she agreed to take a Breyer test her
drer Alco test results indicated a back

0.77% and
0.82% which were more than double the
legal limit following the breathalizer
test cyana was transported to the
Whitman County Jail in kfax Washington
with the bail amount of
$500 she was cited under RCW 46.6 one
5002 for driving Under the Influence DUI
and released after posting bail
