Description

REAL POLICE BODYCAM footage captures a deputy explaining how a routine check of a suspicious vehicle led to the discovery of a fugitive mother with multiple felony warrants. This bodycam video documents the investigative process that revealed a woman was violating a court order by being with the very children she wasn't supposed to contact.

In this police bodycam footage, a Fayette County deputy describes the initial observations that triggered his investigation: "So what happened just... So she's parked in front of front of Ruska's. Okay? She got blinds up all around the windows and stuff like that." These suspicious circumstances, captured on the bodycam, highlight the deputy's attention to unusual details—a vehicle with obscured windows parked at a convenience store.

The deputy continues explaining his methodical approach: "Okay, I pulled up, there's no LP on the front. Went back and ran the temporary tag." This procedural description, recorded on police bodycam, demonstrates proper investigative sequence when encountering vehicles with missing license plates but temporary tags.

After noting the tag "Came back clear, registered to her," the deputy details his interaction: "Came up and asked her for her DL. She looked through everything, couldn't find her DL. Next thing I know she gives me her name and date of birth." This attempt to verify identity without physical ID, documented on bodycam, represents a crucial turning point in what began as a simple welfare check.

The results of the identification check prove significant: "I ran it, 10-94, she came back. She wanted out of New Mexico. For not supposed to be around her kids." This stunning revelation, captured on police bodycam, exposes that Clorisa Franklin was not only a fugitive with warrants but was actively violating a court order by having her children with her.

The deputy continues detailing the warrant findings: "New Mexico, a felony warrant, she's got a felony warrant out of Brazoria County. They're willing to extradite and everything like that." This confirmation of multiple serious warrants across state lines, documented on bodycam, explains why Franklin chose to flee rather than face arrest.

According to police reports, this January 31, 2024 incident in Fayette County, Texas resulted in a high-speed chase reaching over 100 mph with Franklin's three children under 10 in the backseat. The pursuit ended after tire deflation devices were deployed, and Franklin was charged with evading arrest and child endangerment in addition to her existing warrants for custodial interference from New Mexico and assault causing bodily injury - family violence from Brazoria County, Texas.

This police bodycam footage highlights how trained observation of suspicious circumstances can lead to the discovery of serious fugitives, particularly when systematic investigation follows initial instincts about unusual situations.
