Description

West Allis Police engaged in a high-speed pursuit involving 24-year-old Hailey Payney, who now faces multiple criminal charges. The incident began around 2:15 a.m. when officers responded to reports of a black Honda, driven by Payney, intentionally crashing into a Chevrolet Impala. What followed was a reckless 4.1-mile chase, reaching speeds over 100 mph. According to the complaint, Payney's actions included:
🚨 Running a red light at over 100 mph
🚨 Losing control and crashing into a guardrail
🚨 Driving at dangerous speeds through intersections
The chase ended near Mayfair Road and North Avenue, where stop sticks disabled the vehicle. Payney attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers. A search of her vehicle uncovered suspected marijuana, a stun gun, and alcohol. Payney's breath test revealed a blood alcohol level of .142.

The backstory involves a dispute with a friend earlier that night, which escalated into the events leading to her arrest. Stay tuned for more bodycam footage on our channel.
