Description

On January 10, 2024, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call regarding a verbal dispute involving infidelity and alcoholism, where the victim reported her husband threw a heavy, pink insulated cup at her. She stated the object missed her only because she ducked, causing it to strike the fireplace located directly behind her. Although the husband admitted to throwing a cup, he attempted to mislead officers by claiming he threw a different object—a navy blue cup—at the floor rather than at the victim. However, a search of the residence revealed physical evidence that contradicted his account; deputies located the dented pink cup in the sink and observed a fresh chip in the fireplace masonry consistent with the victim's version of events, while finding no marks on the floor where the husband claimed to have thrown the object. Based on the physical evidence corroborating the victim's testimony, the husband was arrested and charged with domestic assault.

About This Video: Husband Assaults Wife After She Catches Him Cheating, Gets The Surprise Of His Life

Why We Share This: This incident highlights the critical role of physical evidence in domestic violence investigations, especially when suspects provide conflicting accounts. By matching the damage on the fireplace and the dented cup to the victim's testimony—and disproving the suspect's claims about the blue cup—officers were able to determine the primary aggressor. We share these records to illustrate how law enforcement pieces together crime scenes to ensure accurate charges are filed in volatile situations.
