Description

REAL POLICE BODYCAM footage captures the aftermath of a high-speed police chase where a mother fled with three young children in her vehicle. This bodycam video documents the critical custody discussion and arrest notification following a pursuit that reached speeds over 100 mph.

In this police bodycam footage, Clorisa Franklin expresses concern about her children's placement after her impending arrest: "Oh can I get some information for them so that where they can go or—" This maternal concern, captured on the bodycam, comes after she allegedly endangered these same children by fleeing from police at dangerous speeds with them in the backseat.

The deputy begins to explain the custody situation: "You can get the inform- you well they only can be released because of the circumstances they can only be released to the biological father." This procedural information, recorded on police bodycam, establishes the strict protocol for child placement following a parent's arrest under these serious circumstances.

Franklin immediately identifies an apparent obstacle: "They don't can't release them to their father." This statement, documented clearly on bodycam, suggests potential complications with paternal custody that may necessitate Child Protective Services involvement.

The deputy interrupts to deliver formal notification of charges: "So listen, listen. You're going, you're gonna, you're arrested for the outstanding warrant, also for child endangerment, and also for evading arrest. Okay?" This official statement of charges, captured on police bodycam, informs Franklin of the serious legal consequences resulting from her decision to flee with children in the vehicle.

Franklin's simple acknowledgment—"Okay, oh God"—reveals her recognition of the gravity of her situation.

According to police reports, this January 31, 2024 incident in Fayette County, Texas began when a deputy conducted a welfare check on Franklin's vehicle parked at a convenience store. After discovering multiple warrants from different states, the deputy was speaking with Franklin when she suddenly fled without headlights. The ensuing chase reached speeds over 100 mph, included several U-turns, and ended after tire deflation devices were deployed. Franklin was ultimately charged with evading arrest and child endangerment in addition to her existing warrants for custodial interference from New Mexico and assault causing bodily injury - family violence from Brazoria County, Texas.

This police bodycam footage highlights the immediate custody concerns that arise when parents are arrested with children present, particularly following incidents where those same children were endangered by the parent's actions.
