Description

REAL POLICE BODYCAM footage captures a DUI suspect making explosive accusations of police brutality that are directly contradicted by the video evidence. This bodycam video documents how false claims against officers can be immediately refuted by the very recording being referenced.

In this police bodycam footage, 46-year-old Shawn Mullarkey launches into serious allegations against the arresting officer: "You don't care that this douchebag ran up and beat me up in front of my kids." This inflammatory accusation, captured clearly on the bodycam, suggests unprovoked police brutality occurred in the presence of children.

She continues her claim, stating: "You don't care what my husband..." before being interrupted by an officer who notes the significance of making such allegations while being recorded: "That's quite the claim to make on a recording." This response, documented on police bodycam, shows the officer's awareness that the video evidence will contradict her characterization of events.

Another officer reinforces this point: "Oh we see it. We know ran up and beat you up in front of your kids. Yeah." This sarcastic response, captured on bodycam, indicates multiple officers recognize the falsity of her claims against the evidence being recorded.

Mullarkey then slightly adjusts her accusation: "You snatched me out of the car happened. Unprovoked." She adds details apparently intended to emphasize her vulnerability: "Name calling. Hundred pound woman." These statements, recorded clearly on bodycam, attempt to portray her as a helpless victim of excessive force despite earlier footage showing her repeated refusal to exit the vehicle after multiple lawful commands.

According to court records, this 2022 incident in Hinsdale, Illinois ultimately led to Mullarkey pleading guilty to aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated assault to a peace officer, and resisting or obstructing a police officer. Her plea agreement required participation in the DuPage County Mental Illness Court Alternative Program.

This police bodycam footage demonstrates the critical value of recording devices in protecting officers from false accusations, showing how suspects sometimes make serious allegations of misconduct that are directly contradicted by video evidence of the same interaction.
