Description

On Sunday, January 29, 2023, officers responded to a disturbance call at a local shopping center parking lot. The investigation revealed that a dispute began when the suspect and the victim were backing out of opposing parking spots simultaneously, which angered the suspect. The suspect followed the victim to a nearby shop, pulled her vehicle in front of the victim's to block it, and exited her car to confront the driver. While the victim recorded the encounter and honked her horn to attract attention, the suspect yelled at the victim, opened the victim's car door, and reached inside, scratching the victim's arm. Although the suspect initially denied the physical altercation and claimed she was only shielding her face from the camera, the video evidence contradicted her statement. The suspect was arrested and charged with Burglary of an Occupied Conveyance and Battery by Intentional Touch or Strike.
