A Mansfield, Ohio traffic stop turned violent after Officer Joshua Adamescu repeatedly punched 68-year-old Calvin Caldwell during a May 20 stop. Adamescu claimed Caldwell punched him first. Cleveland 19 reviewed the bodycam and reported they did not see Caldwell raise a fist before the officer moved toward him. Then Mansfield Police Chief Jason Bammann defended the officer’s report, said “my officers don’t lie,” and admitted he had not reviewed the video. Caldwell was taken to the hospital. No charges are currently pending against him. Adamescu remains on patrol while the department’s review continues. 📄 Story tips, resources & support 👉 https://www.thinblueliesmedia.com Submit police accountability tips, bodycam footage, public records, court documents, and local story leads. 👕 Thin Blue Lies merch: https://www.youtube.com/@thinblueliesmedia/store #PoliceAccountability #Bodycam #MansfieldOhio #ThinBlueLies #CivilRights
