Upon reaching the scene, he found two vehicles involved in the incident: a 2021 Honda Civic and a 2013 Mazda M3S. Officer Trumpner first spoke with the Mazda M3S driver, then with the woman driving the Honda Civic. Both drivers confirmed they were uninjured. It was noted that the Mazda driver recorded the event on her dash camera. Officer Trumpner approached the woman, who was identified as 27-year-old Nerylix. While talking to her, he noticed a strong smell of alcohol. Her eyes appeared glassy, and she was speaking slowly. When asked if she had been drinking, she denied it. Nerylix mentioned that she had driven for two hours from Newark, Delaware, to Lodi. Sergeant Justin Bertone arrived to help. Given the signs of possible impairment, Sergeant Bertone requested that Nerylix exit the vehicle to undergo field sobriety tests. Sergeant Bertone began with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test, where he noted that the eyes did not move smoothly and showed clear signs of nystagmus when turned to the side. Next, Officer Trumpner conducted the Walk and Turn test. Nerylix failed to place her heel against her toe for each step and only managed a few steps before halting the test. The final test was the One Leg Stand, during which Nerylix wavered and stopped after a few seconds. Following the car accident, Nerylix was arrested for driving while drunk. Signs included the smell of alcohol, her later admission to drinking that evening, and her failure to complete the sobriety tests. Sergeant Bertone found a Sprite bottle in the car that also had the smell of alcohol. Nerylix's vehicle was taken by Belfi’s Towing and held for 12 hours as required by John’s Law. Officer Trumpner then took her to the Lodi Police Department for processing. At the Lodi Police Department, Nerylix was informed about the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators and agreed to provide breath samples for testing. The results from her Alcotest showed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.31%, nearly four times the legal limit of 0.08%. After giving her breath samples, Nerylix was taken by Lodi EMS to Hackensack University Medical Center due to her BAC level exceeding 0.29%. While at the hospital, the medical staff completed the John’s Law form for her. Nerylix received several summonses, including operating under the influence, having an open container, careless driving, and improper lane use. Court records show that on February 1, 2023, Nerylix admitted guilt for operating under the influence. As a result, Nerylix must use an ignition interlock device for three months, attend 12 hours at an intoxicated driver resource center, and pay $690 in fines. The other three charges were dropped as part of the plea deal. Nerylix was arrested for her second DWI after another car accident in North Bergen, New Jersey, on October 12, 2023. Following this incident, a warrant was issued for a blood sample. The toxicology report revealed an ethyl alcohol level of 0.314%, which was similar to the level found in her first incident on July 20, 2022. 23:00 bye bye shoes 41:16 don’t start crying not ashy elbows If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video .
