Officers are familiar with the suspect from his previous interactions with law enforcement and know he stays with his girlfriend. The suspect at the time had two felony probation violation warrants out of Clarke County where the original charges were g*ng participation and dr*g distribution. Officers attempted to get out with him but he managed to run inside and closed the door behind him. Officers knocked on the door several times and identified themselves as Law Enforcement. Officers told the suspect that he had a warrant for his arrest but he did not answer. After about 10 minutes, a female answered the door. She confirmed he was upstairs and left out of the apartment with her children. Officers could hear his voice from upstairs and a lot of movement so the decision was made to go up there and get him rather than wait for him to come down. Once up the stairs, Officers could see his feet going into the attic and the attic door closed behind him. He told me he did not want to go back to jail and that he was not going to come down.
