Erratic driving leads to a late-night traffic stop, revealing a young driver's struggle with sobriety tests and a critical breathalyzer result. At approximately 4:18 AM, an officer observed a vehicle driving erratically, crossing the center line, and nearly rear-ending another car. During the subsequent traffic stop, the officer noted the driver's incoherence and detected the odor of alcohol, leading to an initial denial of consumption followed by an admission of drinking. The driver failed multiple field sobriety exercises, including the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test, the Walk and Turn test where she walked backward for a segment, and the One Leg Stand test where she failed to raise her leg properly. A Preliminary Breath Test (PBT) indicated a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.125%, resulting in her arrest for driving under the influence.
