The car headed north on Norwood Avenue. He chased it down and pulled it over near Norwood and Park Avenues in nearby Long Branch. Redy stepped out and approached the driver, a 28-year-old woman named Aymira Rivera-Torres. Right away, when he asked for her papers, she refused to help. Later, she admitted she had been out with friends in Asbury Park but wouldn't say where. Aymira handed over her license at last. Redy went back to his cruiser to check her details. He suspected she was impaired, so he radioed for backup. Sergeant Brad Kerney and Patrolman Noah DeFazio soon showed up. They told Aymira to step out and do sobriety tests. She stalled for a bit. Then she tried the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. Both officers saw signs she was under the influence. Next, she turned stubborn as they pushed for more tests. After many tries, they arrested her for driving while impaired. Before they put her in the car, Aymira said she was pregnant and needed a hospital. First responders came to check her out. But she turned down the ride. Once arrested, her car got towed for a 12-hour hold under John's Law. Redy drove her to the Deal station for booking. There, officers read her the standard statement for drivers. She refused to give proper breath samples. When paperwork ended, a sober friend picked her up around 3:10 a.m. He signed the liability warning for her. Aymira got tickets for driving under the influence, refusing a chemical test, reckless driving, careless driving, speeding, and lacking driver registration. Her past run-ins with the law include these: -Disorderly conduct in Long Branch, NJ, on March 20, 2022 -Aggravated assault on a cop in Long Branch, NJ, on March 12, 2022 -Simple assault in Long Branch, NJ, on March 31, 2016 -Disorderly conduct in Neptune Township, NJ, on March 16, 2016 -Shoplifting in West Long Branch, NJ, on February 23, 2016 -Hindering apprehension in Little Silver, NJ, on September 14, 2015 On top of arrests, Aymira has several old speeding tickets from Colts Neck, Wall, Ocean Township, Marlboro Township, and Oceanport. 2:46 Car sounds like a tractor no oil? 17:26 Just listen to her complain about "not even supposed to be out here" 27:58 Even the person who is with her has had enough! 1:04:08 I'm so upset, I don't even want this baby. 1:11:02 she pees and cries!
