The truck was traveling east on Technology Drive near Butterfield Road. Milas turned on his emergency lights, but the driver did not stop and instead sped away. The pursuit continued for about two miles. The truck finally pulled over at Summit Avenue and South Lane Drive in Oakbrook Terrace. Milas approached the driver, later identified as Yuvia. As he spoke with her, he saw vomit on the driver-side door and other signs that she might be impaired. Yuvia said she was heading to her job at the Gold Room, a club in Stone Park, Illinois. Officer DeVries first asked Yuvia to say the alphabet from "E" through "W." She continued past "W" instead of stopping at the requested letter. DeVries then asked her to count backward from 59 to 37. She stopped at 27. After Officer Pastrana arrived to assist, officers asked Yuvia to get out of the truck and perform field sobriety tests. Milas began with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test, which involved checking her eye movements. He reported four signs of impairment out of six. During the Walk and Turn test, Yuvia did not place her heel against her toe as instructed and turned in the wrong direction. The final test was the One Leg Stand. After the tests, Milas offered Yuvia a portable breath test. She made several attempts but did not provide a proper breath sample. Officers then arrested her for DUI, citing her driving and the test results. Police handcuffed Yuvia, placed her in a patrol car, and took her to the station. There, an officer read her rights, and she agreed to take a breathalyzer test. The result was a blood alcohol concentration of 0.066 percent, which the report describes as above the legal limit for drivers under 21. After processing, she was released and directed to appear at the DuPage County Courthouse on March 12, 2025. The charges included driving under the influence of alcohol, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, and improper lane use. She also faced charges for underage possession and consumption of alcohol, along with possession of cannabis or tobacco by a minor. If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
