On October 9, 2025, Rio Rancho Police Officers responded to a single car motor vehicle accident. Officer Salido arrived first to find a 22-year-old woman sitting in her crashed car with no pants on. She indicated her wrist hurt and she was unable to put her pants on without assistance. Surveillance footage of the crash was obtained from a neighbor's security camera. The woman also repeatedly claimed that her boyfriend was in the car with her. Officer Salido immediately noticed that the woman was extremely impaired so he initiated a DWI investigation. After performing field sobriety tests, the woman was placed under arrest. An open container of alcohol was also found in her vehicle. She was transported to the Rio Rancho Police Station, where she provided two breath samples. Both registered 0.29% BAC. Off camera, she was taken to the hospital to have her wrist looked at. Her charges are listed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
