At approximately 3:17 PM, law enforcement officers were dispatched to a Walmart following a report of an active shoplifting incident in progress. Upon arriving and conducting an investigation, police arrested a 65-year-old male resident of Jersey City, New Jersey, for the theft. Authorities quickly discovered he had an outstanding $1,000 warrant from another municipality and connected him to a previous shoplifting incident at the exact same Walmart that occurred on December 28, 2025. During the same response, officers arrested a 38-year-old individual who was also found to have two active warrants totaling $7,500 from two different jurisdictions. Both individuals were taken into custody at the scene before being processed for their respective charges and outstanding legal obligations. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty
