A late-night disturbance escalates rapidly as a defiant driver, suspected of intoxication, challenges officers to use force to gain access to her locked vehicle. Officers responded to a disturbance on Steamboat Drive in the early hours of November 5, 2021, where they found a young adult female, 20-year-old Gabriella Colon, inside a locked 2011 BMW. Her boyfriend indicated she had been drinking, yet she refused repeated instructions to exit the vehicle, even threatening to drive away. When officers warned they would break the window if she continued to defy, she challenged them to do so directly from within the vehicle. After eventually exiting, she was arrested for driving under the influence due to uncooperative behavior and signs of impairment, though field sobriety tests were not conducted for safety reasons.
